Okay this topic is for anyone and stuff. This topic is mostly about God. Anyone is invited to post their input and all. But please don't flame each other, heated discussions are welcomed. I will post verse daily and let you all reflect on it and maybe say somethings. Please comment and put down some thoughts. And please meditate on it!!! And if its possible you could get your own bible and look up the verse. I will be using a New living translation so...

This is Christ speaking to a crowd that was following him...
Luke 14:26-27
"If you want to be my follower then you must love me more than your father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters-yes, more than your own life. Otherwise you can not be my disciple. And you can not be my disciple if you do not carry your own cross and follow me.

I think that that verse might be a big reason why some kids die in school when they're asked if they believe in God.

Well yes to get attention and because haven't any of you have ever heard of the phrase Jesus Freak? This is what I was pertaining to...

Ooh.. I have a small thing i want to post. Not sure what part of the bible it's from, and it's not as big as wierd's first post, i just remember it, and i know this is something jesus said:

"That which you do to the least of my people, you do unto me"

And in case you wonder why i posted this, i posted it because I remember this, and it's something that basically tells me to be a good person, and it's the main thing that has stuck in my mind since i was about 7. So... there.

I think that verse is really cool. I mean, it's saying that if you are mean to someone and gossip about them, you are hurting Christ. I know, I'm really guilty of gossipping... I really need to fix myself...

Yep. At my church today, we got rice, and bagged it and stuff and it's gonna go to a homeless shelter. So i guess homeless people getting pains from hunger might get a bit healthier because of that rice. So.. i guess we're kind of easing Christ's pain by doing that.
